Losing a loved one is always painful, but experiencing grief during the COVID-19 pandemic is especially difficult. You may not have been able to be with loved ones when they passed, mourn in-person with family and friends, or attend restricted wakes or funerals.
This All Souls’ Day, we wanted to bring some comfort and consolation to our neighbors who have lost loved ones during the pandemic. In their memories, we planted and blessed a willow tree on our property in Baden in a simple ceremony and prayed:
“May this tree speak the power of your life in our midst, deeply rooted and ever growing in all creation, through Jesus Christ.”
We invite you to fill out this form with the name of a loved one who has died during the pandemic. We will remember in prayer your cherished loved one. When we can all come together again safely, our hope is to have a public dedication of this living memorial and acknowledge each life lost during these unprecedented times.
