On Saturday, April 13, 2024, the Sisters of St. Joseph Auxiliary hosted its Annual Spring Luncheon at the DoubleTree Hotel in Cranberry. The event was a resounding success, with proceeds going towards our ministries focused on Ecology, Spirituality, and Justice and Peace.
This year’s funds will also bolster our Neighbors in Need Fund, a vital resource enables our Sisters to respond swiftly to urgent needs within the community, providing financial assistance to individuals and families in crisis through the deep relationships they maintain with our dear neighbors.
Since 2022, the Neighbors in Need Fund has offered hope and help by providing nearly $20,000 in critical aid to 82 families.
Imagine the relief of a mother who can now afford emergency dental surgery for her child, or the newfound safety of a woman who has escaped an abusive relationship, now able to secure a home with rental assistance.
These are just a few of the countless stories of lives transformed. The Neighbors in Need Fund is more than financial support; it is a lifeline, a source of immediate help for those who might otherwise fall through the cracks of slow, bureaucratic systems.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported our Auxiliary’s Annual Spring Luncheon. Your unwavering faithfulness and commitment to our mission inspires us.
